Inspired by “In Our Mother’s Garden,” directed by Shantrelle P. Lewis, the Thriving in Our Family Garden workshop focuses on honoring the strengths of our family lineages, deepening ancestor veneration practices, supporting healing from intergenerational trauma, and providing space to imagine new ways of being and taking care of ourselves. Through guided exercises and group discussions, participants will explore aspects of their ancestry and learn to create a genogram and family record book that explores family patterns, dynamics, and strengths across generations.
